The gear shaft is the mechanical parts to support turn parts and
the turning together with it to transfer movement and it generally is metal round bar,
having different diameter. According to the axis of the different
shape, shaft include crankshaft and direct axis. According toits
loading conditions, the shaft can be divided into rotors, mandrel
and transmission shaft. When rotors is under bending moment and
under twist, when it is working, and is most main mechanical shaft,
such as all kinds of gear reducer shafts. Mandrels are used to
support turn parts, it is only under bending moment and not under
transfer torque. Some mandrels rotate, such as shaft of railway
vehicles, but some mandrels don’t rotate, such as supporting the
pulley shaft, etc. Transmission shaft is mainly used to transfer
torque and not under bending moment, such as crane mobile mechanism
of long axis, the car's drive shaft, etc.
Its material is the carbon steel or alloy steel, but nodular cast
iron or alloy cast iron is also used. The ability generally depends
on intensity and rigidity, when high speed, depends on the
